'TR's Nobel Prize and John Hay' - March 25, 2010
Rescheduled from Feb 25. Charles Doleac, chairman of the Portsmouth Peace Treaty Forum presents his NH Humanities Council lecture on the Treaty and President Theodore Roosevelt, adding information about the role Secretary of State John Hay played in the years and months before his death in July 1905 -- just before the Russian and Japanese delegates arrived in Portsmouth, NH. The free lecture is presented by The Fells, John Hay's summer house in Newbury, NH. It will be held at 4 pm in the meeting room at the Newbury Town Offices. For information call 603-763-4789. |
